The PSI Rubber Tire Supported Drum Debarker product line includes many features and innovations which make it unique in the industry. These features contribute to an overall system design unsurpassed in productivity, debarking efficiency and fiber recovery.

Standard drum diameters are 9', 11' and 13', with lengths of 15' thru 100'. Production rates are dependent on the type of infeed system, drum size and wood specifications, but system requirements of 25 to 250 tons per hour can be achieved with proper drum selection.

One factor controlling a drums ability to debark is the amount of bark slots relative to the total surface area of the drum. While its competitors average 2% to 3%, PSI achieves from 7% to 11%, depending on drum size.

"PSI is currently rewriting the book on debarking technology with its new proprietary " Less Lifter" drum shell. With this new design, PSI can guarantee white wood losses of less than 2%.
